SAS Institute of Archaeology editorial activity is operated and coordinated by the SAS Institute of Archaeology Editorial Board.
The Institute of Archaeology publishes two peer-reviewed scientific periodicals – Slovenská archeológia a Študijné zvesti AÚ SAV – that are issued twice a year with irregular periodicity of supplement volumes for both. Periodical Archeologické výskumy a nálezy na Slovensku is published once a year, and periodical Východoslovenský pravek is published irregularly (editor-in-chief PhDr. Elena Miroššayová, CSc.).
Monographs are published in monographic series, each under the supervision of a chief editor: Archaeologica Slovaca Monographiae – Studia, Fontes, Catalogi, Communicationes, Varia; Acta Interdisciplinaria Archaeologica; Archeologické pamätníky Slovenska/Monumenta Archaeologica Slovaciae.
Thematic series Archaeologica Slovaca Monographiae – Staré Slovensko does not have any permanent chief editor, and series Materialia Archaeologica Slovaca was closed.
